collection of leather flying helmets for RAF Ibsley
The helmets had been stored in unsuitable conditions and the leather was discoloured, cracked and was suffering in places with mould. The helmets were cleaned, any mould treated and removed. Dry and cracked leather was softened and new leather grafted in where the original leather was missing.
