CASE STUDY 2

exhibition at The Royal College of Physicians

Many documents with wax seals were in need of conservation before they could be mounted ready for the display.

Surface cleaning, flattening and repairing fragmented seals were some of the treatments carried out.

Reproduction seals were provided in some cases when the original had all but disappeared.

Smaller documents were displayed in cases while larger ones were framed and hung on walls.
